Laura, Allen... and Skylar

Laura and Allen are expecting their first child in the next 5 weeks.  They are such an adorable couple, and so comfortable with each other in front of the camera!  This was such a fun shoot.  I shot their engagement portraits a while ago, it's been fun following their little family as they grow :)  I can't wait to take pictures of little Skylar once she's here.  Heres hoping for an smooth and healthy delivery for Mom, Dad, and Baby! Congratulations.

Hysterical Machines

I work at Wood Street Galleries as the curatorial assistant. and the show we have right now is incredible. Montreal artist Bill Vorn has been making robotic art since 1992.  This exhibit "Hysterical Machines" is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Wood Street Galleries (above the T-Station downtown!)  Everyone should go check it out, you'll fall in love with these robots.

Meet Mumford

It's been awhile since I posted!  My apologies. During the Gallery Crawl in downtown Pittsburgh, I met this little pup, Mumford outside of SPACE.  He was so good at getting his picture taken!  A few treats in my hand and he was ready to cooperate, hah.  Here he is :)

This makes me hopeful for summer...

I couldn't tell you the last time I was at a carnival.  Last weekend while in New York for a photo seminar, my friend Jack and I were driving back and we saw this carnival close to his hometown in Philadelphia. Of course we had to stop!  Things were a bit muddy because the previous day it rained nonstop, but that evening was beautiful.  Here are some of the shots I got.  This makes me hopeful for summer!!

Boston Celtics at TD Garden

I shot the Boston Celtics vs. Detroit Pistons at TD Garden on Sunday, April 3.  This was Shaquille O'Neal's first game back after missing the past two months with an Achilles injury.  He made 6 points and only played 5:29 before he left the court after what they classified as a "minor right calf strain," in the beginning of the second quarter.  Even now, O'Neal remains day to day.  Kevin Garnett led the team in shot attempts, he played 28:25 scoring 23 points.  The Celtics won 101-90.
Basketball was never my sport, but I really enjoyed shooting this.  (I want to send a big thank you to Brian for this experience!)

This kid was the best dancer in TD Garden that night.
