Reiter's Debut for the Sound Tigers

On Saturday I traveled to Wilkes-Barre Scranton to shoot the Sound Tigers take on the Penguins for their last regular season away game. Plum native (close to where I grew up) Kenny Reiter was in net for the Sound Tigers, making his professional debut after signing an amateur tryout contract following the end of his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Reiter made 26 saves that night. Scoring just over 20 seconds into the game, Mike Halmo tallied his first professional goal. In the third period Tyler McNeely scored his eighth goal of the season. The Sound Tigers fell to the Penguins 3-2.

The Sound Tigers finished their season by defeating the Penguins 3-2 on Sunday.  They closed out the regular season as the Northeast Division Champs, with a record of 41-26-3-6 and begin the Calder Cup playoff series against the Connecticut Whale on Thursday, April 19, at 7:00 at Webster Bank Arena.

Sunday, April 1 was Autism Awareness Day at Webster Bank Arena. The Sound Tigers wore puzzle piece warm up jerseys that were then auctioned off on the concourse during the game. Over $7,000 was raised, and all proceeds go to Cooperative Educational Services.

After Friday and Saturday's wins The Sound Tigers went 3 for 3 by winning their game on Sunday vs The Manchester Monarchs in OT. The score was 3-2 with goals by Matt Donovan, John Persson, and the game winner by Rhett Rakhshani. This is the fifth straight win for The Sound Tigers.

My Godson Brooks.

I blogged and posted some photos about my nephew Brooks right after he was born, I can't believe that was already 8 weeks ago!  I was down in Virginia Beach visiting my brother, sister in law, and the one and only Brooks Richard this past weekend and we decide to do a photo shoot.  (Oh, this was after they asked me to be his Godmother!!!  Needless to say I cried and accpeted.)  After a few nap and food breaks we finished shooting.  Here are some of my favorites of this cutie pie!

This face... hahahahahah.

What a group. Besties.
